What's new at Lodestar
Product updates, improvements, and fixes as we ship toward general availability.
July 2026 — Your assistant, in context
The built-in AI assistant now shows a live breakdown of everything filling its context window — system instructions, available tools, retrieved workspace context, and conversation history — so you always know exactly what it's working from. Auto model mode selects the right model tier and thinking depth per message, with reasoning shown inline. Workspace search grounds every answer in your actual emails, notes, files, and documents. The assistant also remembers durable preferences and facts you share, lets you personalise response style and instructions in Settings, and supports custom slash-command skills and uploaded knowledge documents. New apps include Plan My Day, weekly review, meeting prep, follow-ups, inbox cleanup, to-do triage, and trip planning, alongside a Kanban board for action items, a My Day page, a Roadmap view, and an inbox cleanup screen.
July 2026 — Pillars, case studies, and documentation
The blog is now organised around three content pillars — AI context layer, client operations, and daily execution — each with in-depth articles. Scenario case studies are live under Solutions. The documentation site launches at docs.getlodestar.ai with full setup guides, MCP references, and app documentation.
June 2026 — Website redesign
New marketing site, expanded navigation, dedicated app and solution pages, and improved early-access flow.
May 2026 — Plan & approve workflows
Structured plan steps with review gates for email drafts and multi-step agent workflows in the workspace.
April 2026 — MCP integration
Lodestar MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, and Claude Code — read context and take action from your AI of choice.
March 2026 — Files, messages, and working context
Google Drive, OneDrive/SharePoint file sync and Slack/Teams message ingestion joined email and calendar as first-class connected sources. Working-context resume captures where you left off on any client thread so you can pick up without re-reading the history.
February 2026 — The apps suite
The first Lodestar apps shipped — Plan My Day, Clean My Inbox, Meeting Prep, and Follow-Ups — each built on the enrichment layer. One-click daily briefing, inbox categories with bulk unsubscribe, per-meeting briefing packets, and tracked commitments with overdue flagging.
January 2026 — The Today command center
A single morning view ranks meetings, due and overdue action items, and urgent email by what actually needs your attention. Needs-attention and per-contact sentiment dashboards surface relationship health without manual review.
December 2025 — People and knowledge
Global contact deduplication merged fragmented records into unified profiles with linked organisations and auto-built org charts. RACI matrices, project glossaries, and versioned knowledge documents with semantic search completed the knowledge layer.
November 2025 — Email intelligence
A two-pass AI pipeline ran over synced mail: classification for every message, deep extraction for high-value threads. Action items were extracted with the exact quote and source message as evidence; attachments, named entities, and sender signals were captured alongside.
October 2025 — Foundations
The first private build went live — a workspace with clients, projects, and action items as core objects. Gmail and Outlook OAuth connected with continuous mailbox and calendar sync, and encrypted per-user storage was in place from day one.
