Every automated job in Lodestar is done by an agent — and you can see them, change them, or write your own.

Named jobs, not a black box

Triage, email analysis, message analysis, note and file analysis, contact intelligence, meeting prep, drafting, digests, automations and memory each run as their own agent. Settings shows the list and which agent currently handles each job.

Swap in your own

Clone a built-in agent, change its instructions, give it a different model tier, restrict which tools and knowledge it may use, then assign it to the job. The task contract stays fixed, so a custom agent changes judgment and tone without breaking the pipeline it runs in.

Chat agents you can pin

Some agents are conversational: an email assistant that lives in your inbox, a product guide, a dashboard designer. Pin one to a chat session and the whole conversation runs with its persona, tools and knowledge.

Sub-agents for long work

Ask for something big and the assistant can dispatch a background sub-agent, report progress while it runs, and hand back a summary when it finishes — instead of holding the conversation hostage.
